CHANGING YOUR DIAL IN PHONE NUMBER |

To
change a
number in Windows
XP - click
start TO ADD another dial up number in Windows XP - Click Start Find and Click - Control Panel -
Network Connections - Make a new connection - The wizard will open - 1st
page click Next - 2nd page Click connect to the Internet - 3rd p - Set
up my connection Manually - 4th p - Connect using dial up modem - 5th p
- Type pvns 2 (or anything different from the name you already have in
the other dialer) - 6th p - type the phone number (unless otherwise indicated
on our list, use just 7 digits) - 7th p - Use the same username and
password you use now to connect to PVNS - 8th p - Put a check by the
Shortcut box - Click finish. Windows
95 thru ME Double
click the My Computer
Icon on the desktop - Double click dial
up networking –
TO ADD A NUMBER WITHOUT REMOVING ONE In
Dial up Networking - Click Make a new connection - Type pvns (for
different locations give different names EX. pvns atlanta - pvns 2
- pvnsDallas,
etc.) - Next- Type phone number under telephone number and remove
numbers under Area code (only use 7 digits unless otherwise noted in the
numbers list) - If dialing from location that requires dialing 9 (motels
etc.) put the 9 with a comma before the number. EX 9,4692110

– then - using
